Lonely Planet Turkey, 10th Edition
On shelves now: Lonely Planet’s 10th edition guidebook to Turkey, complete with two regions updated by yours truly. Naturally, a couple dozen used copies have already popped up on Amazon, so if you’re a skinflint like myself and would care to purchase the book, click here.
And who’s that striking young fellow on the left? Why, it’s none other than Lonely Planet Turkey’s original author, Tom Brosnahan, who maintains an excellent online archive of information about Turkey, which you can access here. Interestingly, Tom is holding a copy of Milliyet, a nationalist daily published in Istanbul. Aspiring online publishers, by the way, might be interested in the wealth of information on Tom’s Writers’ Website Planner page, which explains how to bring in a decent income with blogs and websites. And here’s a brief interview with Tom from the Peace Corps Writers website.
