The Labo ~ You’re swimming in it. The Labor Party is currently the premiere YP Media Blog, updated daily by Dan, except when it isn’t. Visit for unique news and specialty information about some of the world’s most creative and unusual entrepreneurs. Updates are also posted whenever the YP Media team is mentioned in the news, or whenever the company launches a new product. Moon Pit ~ The website for Moon Handbooks Pittsburgh, Dan’s city guide that was published by Avalon Travel in June 2007. Update: www.MoonPittsburgh.com is now live! It’s packed full of information about the city’s newest and best places to eat, drink, and play. Discounted, autographed copies of the guidebook are available for sale. And plans are already in place to launch a general interest (but Pittsburgh-specific) online magazine within the site itself. This is also where you’ll find the Moon Pittsburgh Blog, which is updated almost-daily with Important Steel City News Items of Note.       tsburgh

Young Pioneers ~ The original Young Pioneers magazine, a journal about independent travel culture that was nominated for an Independent Press Award by the Utne Reader in 2004. Here at YP Media, we’re currently hard at work on a complete overhaul of the magazine’s theme, so the site’s travel content won’t be staying online for much longer. The relaunched Young Pioneers will report on some of the world’s most creative and unusual entrepreneurs - we like to think of it as something of an alternative version of Fast Company or Inc. magazines, if that makes any sense. The print version of the magazine will be available for sale on July 1, and www.youngpioneers.com will be relaunched around the same time.
