Upcoming Curtis Sliwa Interview on News Talk Radio WABC-77 AM in New York City

March 29, 2008

sliwaooo.jpgCarrie and I were just asked to be interviewed about our open relationship on WABC 77 AM, a news talk radio station in New York City. We’ll be guests on Curtis Sliwa’s popular ”Curtis and Kuby” show. By the way, if Sliwa’s name rings a bell, you may remember him as the person who founded the somewhat controversial Guardian Angels, which is a sort of do-gooder vigilante gang.

Also, if you don’t live in New York City but would still like to hear the interview, you can easily listen to the station live online. Obviously you’ll need to have a relatively high-speed internet connection to do so. I just got off the phone with the show’s assistant, by the way, and she tells me that although Sliwa has been doing an ongoing series about monogamy on the show, our interview will probably not be entirely serious. Sliwa will be “taking the piss,” she told me, and she also hinted that our conversation (which will be aired live, by the way) will probably go on for longer than its intended ten minutes if Carrie and I can manage to do a decent job of jabbing Sliwa right back. And incidentally, Sliwa doesn’t seem like the type of guy to mince words; about 15 years ago he made the mistake of talking shit about John Gotti on the radio, and Gotti retaliated by kidnapping Sliwa and beating him silly.
